Jody J. Saylor has exclusively practiced family law and criminal defense with The Love DuCote Law Firm since becoming a licensed attorney in 2018. She has zealously, compassionately, and effectively advocated for her clients throughout her years of practice, focusing on family law matters, including complex divorce cases and child custody cases and criminal law matters ranging from theft, assault, DWI, drug possession, burglary, to aggravated robbery.
Jody grew up across the Brazos River in Bellville, Austin County, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies in Classics and Business Foundations at the University of Texas where she graduated with honors as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She received a full academic scholarship to Baylor Law School, where she completed her juris doctorate in 2018. While at Baylor, she studied abroad in St Andrews, Scotland in the Academy of the Advocate where she learned to further hone her advocacy skills while establishing a network of trusted colleagues. Jody also participated in Baylor’s first dual civil and criminal Practice Court mock trial program. In 2024, Jody was nominated for and completed the Tim Evans Trial College focusing on advanced criminal defense trial skills.
Jody understands how overwhelming the legal process can be and represents her clients with empathy and compassion, providing zealous representation both in and out of the courtroom. She is deeply committed to ensuring her clients feel supported and informed at every stage of their case. In her spare time, Jody enjoys riding bikes with her fiancé and working with animals in need.
